Welcome to the BDP Youth Wing website. The BDP Youth Wing while retaining some measures of self identity, is an integral part of the Botswana Democratic Party's structures. We aim among others, at : Raising the level of political consciousness among the Party's membership and the public at large. And, serving as a link of communication between the party and the people.
Membership of the BDP Youth Wing is open to all members of the Botswana Democratic Party, who are members in terms of Articles 8 and 10 of the Party Constitution, and are aged between 16 and 35 years. And, the organization and structure of the Youth Wing is coordinated by the National Youth Executive Commettee.
I also wish to note that each of the 57 constituencies has got a BDP Youth Wing Branch, which in turn has got its own Branch Executive Commettee. The supreme body of the Youth wing is the National Youth Congress, which meets ordinarily every two years.
With the new National Youth Executive Commettee having just assummed office, I wish to invite all BDP Youth (both registered Youth Wing members and non-registered) to give the new Executive the necessary support to take the Youth Wing to a new level. The introduction of a Youth Wing website shows our commitment to engaging the youth in every way possible.
This website shall serve as a platform for information desemination, collaboration, discussions, and genral engagement of all youth within Botswana Democratic Party. I urge you all to act upon His Excellency Lt. Gen. SIK Khama's message, to be proactive citizens and to work hard so that we may archieve our individual goals as well as national objectives.
