Welcome to the BDP Women's Wing website. Our main objectives as a political organ of the Botswana Democratic Party include among others;
To raise the political consciousness of women and to encourage them to take active part in politics,
including presenting themselves for seeking political office to ensure the maximum represantation of women in all decision-making bodies. As well as, to
raise the social consiousness of women and encourage them to conscientiously engage in voluntary and charitable work to improve the lot of Batswana, including the underprivilaged and disadvantaged.
Let me take this opportunity to emphasize that; Any women who is a member of BDP shall be eligible for membership of the Wing, and need make no application for membership. We hold our National Congress every two years, and the date and venue for each Congress is decided by the previous National Congress.
The introduction of a Women's Wing website shows our commitment to engaging Batswana women in every way possible. This website shall serve as a platform for information desemination, collaboration, discussions, and genral engagement of all women within Botswana Democratic Party, and Botswana at large.
I urge you all to make use of this important platform to ensure that Botswana women move forward. With the new Executive Commettee having just assumed office, I urge you all to give it the necessary support to ensure that it leads BDP Women successfully.
