Maj. Gen. Moeng Pheto has served the country for over 30 years, beginning his career as a teacher. After attaining his Teaching Qualification, he taught for some time before joining the Department of Broacasting as a reporter. He graduated in journalism courses from India, Delhi, Britain, and Indiana, USA. When Botswana army was formed in 1978 he was recruited as an officer cadet. He has completed military training in the United Kindom and in USA.
