Pono Patson Moatlhodi was born in Tonota. He started school in Tonota and completed at Moeng College. He has worked for a short time with BCL in 1973 before joining Standard Bank as a clerk. At Standard Bank, Mr Moatlhodi went up the ladder untill he reached Senior Grade Level. He cut his teeth in politics in Selibe Phikwe and learned a lot from party veterans like the late Lebofhane Dithebe while in Lobatse. Mr Moatlhodi has also been a trainee Manager at Metro cash & Carry. He has been winning general elections since 1984, and this proves his popularity among Tonota residents and Batswana at large. Mr Moatlhodi intends to continue developing Tonota Constituency after the general elections.
